Yesterday afternoon, FNC had Ryan Newman's trailer and race car for people to stop and see! Tanner only wanted to stand by the trailer and was more interested in swinging and sliding at the park. But, he talked all about the race car on the way to school this morning. Silly boy!
Tanner has been battling a terrible rash since early last week. We took him in to the doctor last Wednesday and he tested negative for strep (the dr. called what he had a strep rash). We were thankful to find out he didn't have strep and treated the rash with Zyrtec. We sent him on his way to Gulf Shores, and the sun and sand caused a major flare up and when he got home Sunday it was so bad. So, back to the doctor we went on Monday. Dr. Molly saw him and decided he had a very bad eczema flare up. We are now treating him with a steroid ointment and praying that it is better by this afternoon so we don't have to go back to the doctor. On top of the crazy rash, Gavin wasn't himself all last week, so last Thursday we visited the doctor with his few symptoms. They found nothing wrong. Well, over the weekend he began running fever and it stayed around 101 all weekend. Back to the doctor he went Monday afternoon also and we found out he had some fluid in his ears. Bless his sweet heart! He is taking amoxicillin and seems to be feeling better. So, we have had a crazy few days and pray that we are on the uphill! Maybe I will try and snap some pictures this afternoon so you can enjoy the sweetness that I see everyday!
These pictures are tiny because they were sent from cellphones (and I can't re size them), but you get the point! Tanner had an awesome time at the beach from Thursday til Sunday of last week with DeeDee and Da. Junior and GG were also there, so he got extra spoiled. Aunt B and Uncle Philip even got to fly down on Saturday to spend the day with them in Gulf Shores. Tanner had fun at the beach, going to a festival, spending time at The Track, and riding his tractor around the campground.
Gavin has never been a "paci" baby...So this was picture worthy. Lately, he will suck on one every now and then.
He would much rather do this. He LOVES to have his thumb and fingers in his mouth! This is totally opposite of how Tanner was when he was a baby. When Gavin was born he had some tiny scars on his fingers and toes. I asked the nurses if I should be concerned because I couldn't tell if they were freckles or scars. They told me that they were probably little sores/scares from him sucking on his fingers and toes when he was in the womb. I believe they were correct!
Lunch...yummy pimento & cheese sandwiches (only $1.50 each) and pink lemonade. Tanner drank 4 glasses of pink lemonade throughout the day...Thank goodness the drinks were cheap too! We all ate lunch for $12. That doesn't happen often.
We are so thankful for technology because it allows us to keep in touch with family and friends far away. I don't have as much time to blog these days because these boys keep me busy, but I will try my best to update as much as possible. God bless!
